The newest Zelda game is set in a huge world with tons of hills, lakes, and cities to explore.that sometimes stutter and freeze up while you're doing so.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a fantastic game, but it launched with framerate issues that varied from occasionally frustrating to almost game-breaking.

Nintendo has released a new update today for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That being said, frame rate troubles have cropped up every now and then. The update can not hurt so it's best to install it and see if your Switch has less frame rate drops, or if you notice any change.

Framerate problems were a key concern in our otherwise sparkling Breath of the Wild review, and it has since become apparent that the game runs worse in the Switch's docked mode than when used as a handheld. It's understandable when Zelda is one of the few AAA titles out for the Nintendo Switch at the moment.

Oh, and in case you're wondering: The version of "Breath of the Wild" for the Wii U, Nintendo's previous console, also got this update.
