Marshawn Lynch visiting with the Raiders

Marshawn Lynch visiting with the Raiders

Until closer to that time, it appears no authorized Las Vegas Raiders merchandise will be produced as the National Football League and the Raiders protect their tenuous standing in Oakland with fans and local officials.

The retired Seattle Seahawks running back visited Oakland's training facility Wednesday morning, and The Seattle Times reported that he did so with the Seahawks' permission. Most significantly, the Seahawks would either have to trade him or release him if they can't work out a deal with Oakland. Some speculated that he'd eventually come back and it appears the urge to play again has overpowered his health concerns.

Lynch, who last played in 2015, turns 31 on April 22.

"We offered them the opportunity to purchase 20 percent of the Raiders and to do what I said about building two stadiums on that site".

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed McAfee's report.

Marshawn Lynch already has some strong allies on the Oakland Raiders - including the team's best lineman, Donald Penn, who tells TMZ Sports he's all about bringing Beast Mode to the squad. Now that he's healthy, Lynch should be much more productive, especially behind Oakland's dominant offensive line. Yet the fantasy of Lynch playing for his hometown has persisted since the running back suited up for Oakland Technical High School in the early 2000s. When they lose an important game, fans get violent and disorderly; when they win an important game, same thing: violence and disorder often causing property damage and bodily injuries.

However, with just one full season as a starter under his belt, Riley bears the risk of being a one-year wonder, and he lacks ideal size for the linebacker position at 6-feet, 232 pounds.

The Raiders have a need for a power running back after losing Latavius Murray in free agency.
