Motorola Moto X (2017) Coming With a Different Name?

Motorola Moto X (2017) Coming With a Different Name?

Since then, the Moto X 2017 has been subject to numerous leaks and rumours, but, the latest leak gives the first unadulterated look at Lenovo's upcoming phone.

Of most interest is probably the fact that the new Moto X will not support the Moto Mods since it will not include the necessary magentic pins to connect to them.

It was earlier reported that the handset would be called the Moto X (2017) but that may not be the case.

The leaked presentation video shows the overall design along with the camera panel. Just a few hours ago Evan Blass revealed that the smartphone wouldn't go with the Moto X 2017 moniker. The Moto X is making a return after taking one year off last year and the short video presentation was shared on Baidu, a Chinese site. You can also see a trimmed bevel and the position of the buttons. However, the placement of the dual camera with LED flash feature is different from other leaks so far.

Motorola's yet-to-be-official Moto X 2017 has been under the radar for quite some time now. Two variants of the modular Moto Z are listed as well: the Moto Z Play and the Moto Z Force. As per the leaks, the phone also packs IP68 dust and water resistance technology along with a front-facing fingerprint sensor. Another thing to note about the Moto X 2017, as per the leak, is AI integration which leaves behind a lot of questions. "The Moto E will sport a 5" HD screen, while the E Plus has a larger 5.5" HD screen and a whopping 5000mAh battery. For the device, a Snapdragon 600 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity.

According to the slide, the Moto gS will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display with metal body, whereas the Moto gS+ will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a dual camera at the back.
