MyPGNow readers pick their party ahead of Election Day

The $7.4 billion oil pipeline has already been approved by both the federal government in Ottawa as well as B.C.'s ruling Liberal Party.

Opposition and BC New Democratic Party (NDP) leader John Horgan stands at 42% (+5), while Premier and BC Liberals leader Christy Clark is at 38% (+8).

On the penultimate day of British Columbia's 2017 election campaign, the leaders of the NDP and Green parties blitzed the ridings they most need to win on Tuesday, while Liberal leader Christy Clark spent much of her time in safe Liberal ridings in Richmond and Abbotsford.

Tomorrow, you'll be able to follow all the results here on CFJC Today, as well as live updates throughout the evening on CFJC-TV, with a half hour wrapup at 11:00 PM with Bill O'Donovan.

The second poll conducted by Mainstreet/ Postmedia suggests that, despite the major parties being locked in a dead heat, the B.C. Liberals look most likely to secure the most seats on May 9th.

"We know people got it wrong in B.C.in 2013".

The online survey of a representative sample of British Columbians shows that the approval rating for all three leaders improved as the campaign progressed.

"Forestry is huge in British Columbia and we said right from the beginning we will use every tool at our disposal to get a softwood agreement and protect B.C.jobs", Mayencourt said. She claimed her party will freeze carbon and income taxes for BC residents, and will continue to create positive job growth in the province.

CBC has crunched the numbers and found that, while the NDP and Liberals have held an equal number of events open to the media at 70 each - with the Greens at 52 - the places they have chosen to campaign in have dramatically differed.

BC Liberal voters say they are motivated primarily by the party's ideas and policies (38%), a desire for stability (29%) and the party's candidate in their riding (13%).

"The B.C. Greens are surging across the province as people realize for the first time in a generation they actually have something to vote for, not against", Weaver told CHEK News from the campaign trail in Sidney.
