Pouille to face Feliciano Lopez in Stuttgart Open final

Mischa, seeded six, was beaten 6-7 (7-2) 7-6 (7-4) 7-5 by the experienced Spaniard Feliciano Lopez in a contest that lasted two hours and six minutes.

Spain's Feliciano Lopez celebrates during his semi final match against Mischa Zverev at the ATP tennis tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Lopez played against Berdych 10 years ago in the same tournament, when the Spaniard won 6-0, 6-3.

Muller broke Zverev twice early in the second set and sealed victory on his first match point with an ace to book a place in the final against third seed Ivo Karlovic.

Hass, 39, handed his great friend Federer just a second defeat of the year on Wednesday, but could not follow it up as Zverev prevailed 6-4 6-4. Spaniard earned the first break point of the match with a return victor and Mischa double faulted to end the match in the worst possible manner.

The 35-year-old Lopez, who last made a final in August 2016, reached his fourth career grasscourt final as he prepares for Wimbledon and will face fourth seed Frenchman Lucas Pouille on Sunday.
