5 scenes which show Fergus Beeley is the real Basil Fawlty

A TV producer who worked on Sir David Attenborough's award-winning wildlife documentaries was filmed telling a family "I want you dead" during a road rage clash.

"You're under citizen's arrest".

"I wouldn't say that to a bunch of w***ers like you..."

"I do want you dead", he tells the family, before pointing at the mother and child and saying "you're under a citizen's arrest, you're under a citizen's arrest, and I tell you what, you are, too".

He said they both pulled up on the side of the motorway and got out of the vehicle to exchange insurance details with the other driver - not Fergus Beeley - when the producer pulled up behind them and erupted into a rage.

Mr Beeley, who has worked with Sir David for more than two decades, has since deleted his Twitter account and public Facebook page. "He flew into an absolute raving state", Simon reportedly told the publication.

Mr Gale, of Wiltshire, said the family had been involved in a minor crash with another auto minutes earlier on Saturday and amicably exchanged details with the driver.

Beeley's IMDB page has also been edited to incorporate this latest incident, with his biography now reading: "Fergus is known to get very angry in supermarket vehicle parks and has a hobby of placing anyone and everyone under citizens arrest".

"I do want you dead!"

Unfazed, Mr Beeley continues to shout: "You're under a citizen's arrest".

Video footage of the incident, shot by Simon's mother-in-law, showed the producer squaring up to him, telling him: "Put your hands on the auto and get ready to die, this is a citizen's arrest".

"I'm trying to stop a death on the motorway", he replies. He kept shouting he was going to make a citizen's arrest.

He alleged he had been "assaulted" by a family member and told the witness: "You didn't see what happened on the motorway with risky driving".

He also claims that Beeley grabbed hold of him around the throat and "raised his fist in a threatening manner", and attempted to push his mother-in-law towards oncoming traffic.

Mrs Gale told the newspaper: "He was a vile bully to say that to a kid".

Police said the two men involved in the incident decided not to pursue a complaint.

Mr Beeley is filmed calling the family "wankers" and at one point calls Victoria: "an old slut, a big slut".
