Heavy rains trigger Flood Watch across the area

A flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service Wednesday night, as parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties were drenched with heavy rainfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for eastern Livingston County until 2:45 p.m. Flooding of small streams and creeks will be possible where the thunderstorms repeat over the same area.

"Showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon into the evening". A Flash Flood Watch has also been issued for 70 OH counties through tomorrow (July 14). Some may see a thunderstorm - with gusty winds and heavy rain - after 2 p.m. These rains and flooding situation triggered by the rainfall continues till September. Flash flooding quickly poses danger to motorists and those living in low-lying areas, according to the NWS.

Flash flooding amid severe thunderstorms and heavy rains is affecting travel in parts of MI.

More than 8 inches of rain was reported in southern Clayton County, Iowa, producing localized flooding that washed out numerous roads.

Drivers are urged to not test flood roadways, as water may be deeper than it appears. Expect highs in the lower to mid 80s.

Thursday features a 30 percent chance for showers and storms before 1 p.m., mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 77 and northwest winds around 5 miles per hour.
