Daycare owner apologizes in child's death

Florida authorities say the 3-year-old had been left in the sweltering van for up to 11 hours in temperatures surpassing 90 degrees with 100 percent humidity.

"Our initial investigation revealed that the day care worker picked up Myles and other kids in intent to drive them to the other Little Miracles Academy on 2514 West Colonial Drive", he continued. Mina said it was still unclear why Myles was taken to the wrong location, but said the driver "did admit to not doing a head count" when the children were taken off the van at around 9 a.m.

"He had to lose his life because of someone's neglect".

Livingston, 71, Myles's aunt, told WKMG that she had asked a daycare worker where the toddler was and she was told that he was "gone". When the van arrived at the destination, Myles never got out and spent the remainder of the day in the unused vehicle.

Police were called about 8:30 p.m.to Little Miracles Academy at Plymouth Avenue and Gore Street in the greater Parramore area. Since 2015, Little Miracles has also been cited four other times, including once for not keeping attendance records during fire drills.

Flowers and balloons were left outside the Orlando facility.

.

Flowers create a makeshift memorial August 8, 2017, in Orlando, in front of a day-care center where a toddler was found dead.

All were fixed at the time of the visit. Records show they filed to open the day care in 2009.

Robert Nesmith, the attorney for the daycare's owner, told the Daily News he plans to hold a press conference once all the information was gathered in the case.

Authorities said the Florida Department of Children and Families will conduct an institutional investigation. He declined to comment further. We know not the identity, but he or she damn well should be!

"This was an absolute tragedy that could have been prevented", Mina said.

"Anybody that knows me knows that I take care of my kids, if I ever open back up this won't happen again", Thornton said.

"Anything I can do for that family to share love kindness anything I could reach out and do for them".
