Eric Bolling suspended from Fox News after allegations of lewd texting

Allegations of sexual misconduct against Bolling were made public late Friday by the Huffington Post, which reported that Bolling allegedly sent a picture of male genitalia to several female employees at Fox News several years ago.

A FOX News spokesperson told Raw Story, "we are investigating this matter and all claims will be taken into account". HuffPost confirmed their story with more than a dozen sources from Fox before publishing it. On the other hand, Bolling's lawyer Michael J. Bowe said his client has no recollections of sending any lewd texts to his female colleagues.

'We intend to fully cooperate with the investigation so that it can be concluded and Eric can return to work as quickly as possible'. A Fox News spokesperson said the report caught the network by surprise.

According to reports, Bolling taped an episode of his weekend show Cashin In' on Friday morning, but it wasn't aired after the allegations were made.

The suspension is the latest in a string of sexual harassment complaints against personalities who appear on Fox News and its business network.

The incident comes after a tumultuous period for Fox, which has seen the resignation of Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes over sexual harassment allegations and the ouster of its most popular host - The O'Reilly Factor's Bill O'Reilly - over similar claims.

Guest hosts will fill in for Bolling on the Specialists and his weekend show Cashin' In. He also hosts the Fox Business Channel program "Cash in". Since Ailes was forced out, multiple former and current Fox News hosts have accused him of harassment, including CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota.

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 19: Eric Bolling of Fox News attends the Capitol File 58th Presidential Inauguration Reception at Fiola Mare on January 19, 2017 in Washington, DC. Back in June, Fox News president of programming Suzanne Scott resigned Bolling to a long-term contract, noting the host had become "a staple of the Fox News brand". The Huffington Post's Yashar Ali, who wrote the initial article on Bolling, tweeted that the investigation into Bolling's alleged actions is being led by lawfirm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
