Fox News Host Eric Bolling Hits HuffPost Journalist with $50 Million Lawsuit

Fox News Host Eric Bolling Hits HuffPost Journalist with $50 Million Lawsuit

As you may recall, last week, Huffington Post published a report by Yashar Ali which stated that Bolling sent lewd pics to several female co-workers.

Bolling, the former host of "The Five" and current anchor of "The Specialists", is seeking $50 million in a defamation lawsuit filed Wednesday in New York Supreme Court.

Ali tweeted on Wednesday that he stood by his reporting and would protect his sources.

Bolling, meanwhile, tweeted that he will "continue to fight against these false smear attacks!"

He's retained Michael Bowe and Ronald Rossi from Kasowitz Benson Torres - the firm whose name partner Marc Kasowitz reps president Donald Trump.

The reporter's August 4 article claims that Bolling had texted unsolicited pictures of male genitalia several years ago to at least two women at Fox Business and another at Fox News.

The summons also said Bolling was "substantially harmed" by Ali's article.

Ali added in a follow up tweet: "It's important to note that Bolling's summons does not include HuffPost - he is coming after me personally".

Members of HuffPost's editorial team weighed in to defend Ali, describing him as a "careful and meticulous reporter".

Bolling has yet to comment on the lawsuit. Bolling never had any interactions with Ms. Heldman of a sexual nature, and any such accusation would be false and defamatory'.

Bolling was suspended from Fox News after being accused of sending unsolicited photos of male genitalia to several colleagues at various departments over a span of several years. "Not going to stop reporting on Eric Bolling or anyone else". On one occasion when she was in town, he took her into his office and told her it was his favorite place to have sex, she said.

"We have no hesitation about standing by him financially in this case". Already Bill O'Reilly, who had been with the network for 15 years, has been ousted over claims of sexual misconduct, and Fox Business Network host Charles Payne has been suspended for similar accusations. That happened "to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News", the article said.

"My only surprise is that it took this long for people to come forward about Bolling's behavior, which has been wildly inappropriate for years", Heldman wrote. On the following day, he was suspended from the network and a former Fox guest wrote a lengthy Facebook post chronicling her unsettling encounters with Bolling.
