Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised on Wednesday evening, continues to remain in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The senior actor is 94-years old now and was admitted into the hospital after he complained of dehydration along with urinary complications. He had stated, "His kidney functions are yet to normalize".

"He is stable at the moment".

"His haemoglobin is decreasing and potassium is increasing, creatinine is still rising, He will need a dialysis", Dr Parkar added. He is alert and conscious. "Cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale and nephrologist Dr Arun Shah are treating him", Ajaykumar Pande, Vice President Lilavati Hospital told PTI. He should be well Inshallah!

Reports emerged on Thursday that Kumar is suffering from a kidney ailment. The Karma actor has always been supported by wife Saira Banu, who constantly stays by his side in thick or thin. In April a year ago, he was hospitalised with fever and nausea.

The 94-year-old acting legend is now in the ICU at Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra.

Of late, Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the hospital several times.

He had acted in several landmark and superhit movies including Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Naya Daur, Shakti and Madhumati among others. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
