Sanchez out of Arsenal's league opener

Sanchez out of Arsenal's league opener

Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Chile global all summer while Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich have also expressed an interest.

Arsenal are becoming increasingly concerned that Alexis Sanchez might yet force his way out of the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.

"That's what I've read in the papers and on my side I've had no contact with Paris Saint-Germain".

The Gunners have already lifted silverware without Sanchez this season after beating Chelsea in the final of the Community Shield last weekend.

The Chilean worldwide suffered the injury in training on Sunday morning and will now miss our first two games against Leicester and Stoke while he could also be a doubt to face Liverpool at the end of the month. "He had a little abdominal strain that he caught on Sunday morning in training".

"I think he had in his career some bad moments because he had some small injuries", the Frenchman added.

"Why hasn't he just said I'm staying for one more season?"

Alexis Sanchez will miss the Arsenal's opening match of the season at home to Leicester due to an injury. "But of course at the moment I have now 33 players and it is very hard to manage on a daily basis such a high number".

"I can not go into the game with too many uncertainties".

With Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey also serious doubts for the season opener against the Foxes, Arsenal will have to rely on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi to lead their attack.

The Arsenal boss replied: "I would like [if] somebody who comes in gets the club to the next level". "I will focus more on the players who had the right number of competitive minutes in recent weeks".

"We didn't manage to do that last season so I'm not super optimistic in that regard, but we have the firm intention of not selling him".

"At some stage, I had to tell them, "Look guys, I am with you, but we have to win games".
