Showers diminish and dry weather takes over Monday afternoon

The weather service says by Friday, we'll see more clouds build that will keep temperatures a bit on the cooler side. A chance of rain continues all week with high quite comfortable in the upper 70's to low 80's.

We are looking at a week that will have a chance for mainly scattered showers and thunderstorms every day. Thursday should be cloudy through the day before storms return in the evening.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. While subject to change latest short term computer models have the line of showers along a Marysville to Manhattan, Council Grove line by noon with most if not everyone getting rain by 5pm. Mostly cloudy - low around 67.

Showers and storms will quickly dissipate after sunset leaving partly cloudy to mostly clear skies overnight. It doesn't look like a wash-out, by any means, but the reality is...weekend rain chances.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible in the Wichita area Wednesday afternoon and evening, forecasters say.

Wednesday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m., the weather service said.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Into the weekend, Saturday is going to be see building cloud cover through the afternoon, but highs will still make it to the mid-90s. Temperatures should reach the low to mid-80s and the air will be noticeably more humid.

Thunderstorms are still on the horizon for Friday in Northeast Ohio, but thankfully the rest of the weekend isn't looking almost as rainy. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. We stay on the north side of a low pressure system giving us unsettled weather for Sunday and Monday.
