Texas vehicle tumbles seven stories

Surveillance video captured the moment a vehicle plunged seven stories off the side of a parking garage in Texas.

The video shows the BMW crash front-first into the pavement, before bouncing off the back of a Chevrolet Tahoe owned by William Burch.

The clip, released by Austin Police Department on Thursday, shows a Chevrolet Tahoe 4X4 about to turn around when the BMW falls onto the ground front wheels first just yards from the other auto. Then, all of a sudden, a BMW plunges to the ground, striking the SUV before coming to a rest on its roof.

The BMW driver sustained serious injuries and the driver of the Tahoe was uninjured.

"I heard all these loud noises and bangs", Burch is quoted as saying.

"I can just imagine what she was thinking when I said, 'A auto just landed on me, I gotta go, '" Burch said. The crash, which happened because the driver apparently pressed her accelerator rather than her brake, occurred on July 13.

In September a 23-year-old man accidentally drove off the garage's top level however his auto miraculously dangled for several minutes and he managed to escape, Dallas News reports. The SUV moves out of the way before bystanders rush to help the driver of the BMW.

A motorist in the USA is surprised to still be alive after a auto falling from a parking garage just missed the vehicle he was in.

Littlefield was cited for unsafe conditions for its barrier cable systems in that incident.
