A new name in the frame to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal

Alexander Hleb believes that Alexis Sanchez could end up signing a new contract at Arsenal and snubbing a move to Manchester City.

It remains to be seen whether Sanchez stays at Arsenal, especially with clubs circling around for him in the upcoming January transfer window.

Sanchez, the Chile forward, reportedly wanted to leave for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola put in an offer for him on deadline day.

According to Don Balon, Serie A giants Milan are willing to pay £75m to land Sanchez ahead of their supposed transfer rivals in January.

But the chances of them offering Arsenal the fee they stumped up in the summer are incredibly slim due to how little time he has remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.

The large fee received from the sale would prepare Arsene Wenger to purchase an immediate replacement for the star.

Sanchez signed for Arsenal from Barcelona in a £35m deal in the summer of 2014.

Having already tried to force though a move to Manchester City in the summer, it seems that Alexis is now willing to look overseas, and PSG would certainly offer the wages and signing on fee he wanted - not to mention the chance to win the Champions League and play with some of the best players in the world - neither of which Arsenal can offer, nor look like being able to offer any time soon.

The Gunners are aiming to challenge for the Premier League title this season after ending up fifth in the table last term and missing out on a Champions League spot.
