Thunder rattled after mysterious flight damage

The charter plane of National Basketball Association side Oklahoma City Thunder was left with a MAHOOSIVE dent in its nose after it was reportedly hit by a bird at 30,000 feet.

It's not entirely clear yet what happened, though Carmelo Anthony suggested that the plane hit something, writing, "What possibly could we have hit in the SKY at this time of night?"

It didn't immediately appear that Nye or Tyson had responded to 7-foot-tall center Adams' question and neither immediately returned calls from the Tribune requesting comment.

Per Young, a Thunder official said there was nothing "extreme or out of the ordinary" about the flight that would have led to the plane's nose being damaged. 30000 feet in the air. "Flying to Chicago. What caused this?". Anthony wrote on Instagram before reassuring his fans that the team made it safely to the ground. The aircraft, a Boeing 757-200, landed safely without incident; customers have since deplaned and maintenance teams evaluating.

Delta Airlines spokeswoman Elizabeth Wolf said in a statement that the plane, "sustained damage to its nose cone while on descent into Chicago". The team will play the Chicago Bulls Saturday evening.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Timberwolves on Friday night, 119-116.
