Who Will Host 'SNL' In December?

Though NBC hasn't announced it yet, it seems likely that there will be a Saturday Night Live Christmas special of some kind coming later in the month, either on December 23 or the week leading up to that weekend.

The first will air December 2nd and be hosted by actress Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn), with U2 as the musical guest.

SZA will wrap up her already-impressive 2017 by making her Saturday Night Live debut on December 9, NBC announced Monday (Nov. 27). This will be Ronan's hosting debut on SNL as well as a great opportunity for her to plug her acclaimed new movie Lady Bird.

SNL tweeted the news Monday with the message "Happy December!"

"SNL" will switch to a veteran host and a newbie musical artist on December 10. They might even get in on a sketch along with Saorise Ronan if the writers come up with something good. The last time the Foos were on their own as the musical guest was in 2011.

Saturday Night Live has not been messing around for its 43rd season.

Finally, SNL will wrap up its holiday schedule on December 16th, with an episode hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. Hart has the sequel Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle arriving the following week, and as a seasoned comedian, he's a safe bet to bring in the larger ratings that usually come with the holiday episode that closes out the year.
