World of Warcraft Announces Major Expansion Called Battle for Azeroth

While Blizzard has not given a date to experience all the new stuff, including a higher level cap and new dungeons and raids, you can opt in to the beta test on your profile page. Horde players will get to traipse through the ancient empire of Zandalar, with the oldest city Zuldazar, the swamps of Nazmir and the deadly deserts of Vol'dun to visit.

Battle for Azeroth will see the removal of the Legion expansion's Artifact Weapons. Players will have a main goal of trying to recruit new "allied races" for which they will be able to play. Then comes the new "Allied Races" with unique abilities, such as Highmountain tauren and Void elves, which can be unlocked by gaining reputation with their respective factions. Before the developer announced the start of the servers with the original World of WarCraft. There will two new continents to explore, along with new resources for the big battle. Another introduction by Blizzard is "Warfronts" which is where a group of 20 players will team up and fight for a strategic location related to their faction. Instead, a new system will focus on a necklace called the Heart of Azeroth. Share strategies with members of your class, fraternize with auction house magnates, talk shop with fellow tailors, and expand your social circles.

"The battle against the Legion has left the world broken-but the shattered trust between the Alliance and the Horde could prove the hardest wound to mend", according to the official press release. This project seems to be in response to the years of pressure from fans who wanted to go back and play World of Warcraft like it was when it launched back in 2004.

In addition, Blizzard announced Seething Shore as the first new battleground being added to World of Warcraft since Mists of Pandaria was released in 2012.

Classic server options have remained a long requested feature amongst fans for several years, and now Blizzard is finally listening to this passionate feedback. This was apparently a large endeavor they only recently figured out how to make it happen.
