Anthony Davis leaves Game with hip injury, does not return

New Orleans is on the second night of a back-to-back on Saturday, and if they want to take down the Portland Trail Blazers, they will have to do it without Davis.

New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis was fined $25,000 by the NBA for two technical fouls during Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, resulting in the first ejection of his professional basketball career.

He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Pelicans' game against the Utah Jazz. The play went on for almost 20 seconds as Davis lay on the floor, clutching the left side of his midsection.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune's Tony Jones, Davis was carried to the locker room since he couldn't put any weight on his left leg.

Davis has missed plenty of time throughout his career with a multitude of injuries.

Trainers came over to look at Davis immediately, and the amount of pain he was in was readily apparent. In the four seasons prior to the 2016-17 campaign, Davis played in no more than 68 games in any single season due to various injuries.
