Guardiola: "I can't control myself and I need to do better"

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany hugs Raheem Sterling after his late victor against Southampton.

This season, Pep Guardiola and his team Manchester City, did not only climb up to the top of the Premier League table but also broke many records. "I have to do that, hopefully I can improve".

The 22-year-old has managed 13 goals in 19 appearances for City during the 2017-18 campaign, with his form key in helping the Citizens open up a healthy lead at the top of the Premier League table.

"It's not my business right now, it's for Txiki", said Pep.

Nathan Redmond can still be more "aggressive" in the final third, according to Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino.

Reports have suggested that City are trying to tie Sterling to a longer-term contract to add to his existing two-and-a-half year deal. That's it. Nothing negative or offensive was said towards me from Pep and that's what makes him one of the best managers in world football.

"Losing the game the way we did in the last kick of the game after working so hard for 90 minutes was very disappointment [sic] but when one of the worlds [sic] best managers compliments you or gives advice in any way, you listen". All the credit goes to him. "All the managers want to help their players because if they play good, we survive, if they play bad, we are sacked". Many in the English press have criticised Guardiola today, with some even suggesting he should face an FA charge.

"We tried to help him, the individual performances, it's no secret".

"I've got enough problems to solve with my team". "The last game we didn't play David Silva from the beginning, I roatated and maybe i will again".

"I don't feel guilty when a player isn't playing good". Nine games in one month is a lot.
