'Black Panther' roars with new TV spot as tickets go on sale

During the 2018 College Football Championship Game on ESPN, fans were treated to a sneak peek of Black Panther, which hits theatres on February 16, 2018.

With Black Panther just a few weeks away from release, we are now beginning to see how director Ryan Coogler's film fits into the MCU and how it will distinguish itself from the other MCU films.

It was a fitting time to show the new trailer-not only was the audience for both the game and Kendrick's performance huge but K.Dot is also the curator and producer of the film's soundtrack. "You're telling me", Ross asks Klaue, "the king of a third world country runs around in a bulletproof cat suit?"

The first showings of Black Panther in IMAX at Regal Cinemas will receive a collectible ticket.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th. Covington was announced today to be writing two issues of Marvel's digital Black Panther: Long Live the King series.

The snippet gives a more rounded look at the baddies of the movie, too: Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger and returning Marvel heavy Ulysses Klaue/Klaw, the notorious arms dealer who made his debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron unite with a score to settle against T'Challa and his kingdom.

John Kani will also make an appearance as T'Chaka in the film. The promo highlights more of T'Challa, a.k.a. Black Panther, of course, represents the final Marvel film before Thanos officially comes to town in May.

It's clear that Black Panther is unlike any movie we've seen before: the lush Afro-futurism, the majority-black cast, the epic political intrigue.
