Trump Won't Commit To FBI Interview

The FBI is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the foreign adversary.

President Donald Trump says that it "seems unlikely" that he'd give an interview in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into potential coordination between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign.

Nearly half of voters think the FBI will clear President Donald Trump in its investigation into Russian collusion during the 2016 USA presidential election by the year's end.

Later in the press conference, Trump told reporters he thought it was "better to work with Russia" on matters of worldwide import - like North Korea - but said that his actions on energy development, as well as rebuilding the USA military, weren't policies that would earn him any praise from the Kremlin.

"When they have no collusion...it seems unlikely that you'd even have an interview", Trump said during a press conference at the White House Wednesday, during which he called the Russian Federation investigation a "Democratic hoax". Russian Federation and the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing.

He repeated an inaccurate claim that "all" Democrats agree there was no collusion. "I will say this: I am for massive oil and gas and everything else and a lot of energy. Republicans should finally take control!" the commander-in-chief wrote. Just 41 percent said it is somewhat likely or very likely that Mueller will indict a member of Trump's family on criminal charges in the coming year.

Trump's words differed from what he said at a news conference in June previous year, shortly after fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey had told US Congress that Trump asked him for a pledge of loyalty. The president called the move "a disgrace", but the information wasn't classified and Feinstein didn't need authorization to release it.

Trump has derided the dossier as a politically motivated hit job.

Trump paid tribute to Norway's use of hydropower, adding: "I wish we'd do some of that".

"There was absolutely no collusion".

Trump's denials of collusion also don't address a more pressing concern: whether by firing Comey he tried to obstruct the Russian Federation investigation.

Trump has often invoked Feinstein on the collusion issue.

Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee, also criticized Trump's tweet, saying it "smacks of interference in investigations and I think that's inappropriate".

"Oh come on", she said.
